Gaming switches typically want to have as little resistance as possible during the keypress. Therefore, linear switches are most desired among gamers for their speed and responsiveness. Tactile switches can also be good in the case that gamers want to "feel" the keypress and consciously register it during intense moments.
Hall effect switches are popular for gaming specific keyboards due to their use of a magnet placed at the bottom of the stem. The hall effect keyboard would then have receivers for each key so that it can register the magnet position. This is useful because it can then change the actuation or program the switch to register more dynamically than a standard MX linear or tactile switch.
Hall Effect Key Features:
- Rapid Trigger, SOCD
- Adjustable Actuation Point
- OKS
- DKS (Dynamic Keystroke)
- Rappy Snappy
